The Hope of Mankind
Galatians 4:4-5 "But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law. To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. "
The book of Galatians written by the Apostle Paul about AD 60 presents to us an explanation of God's dealing with the human race, with respect to Justification by His Grace in contrast to Justification by obedience to the Law mingled with faith, for the Law which began at Mt. Sinai Exodus 19, came to an end at the Cross, Matthew. 27.51.
Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to every one that believeth Romans 10:4.
When the fullness of the time was come God sent forth His Son.. The definite article, The time indicates a specific time in God program when the Son will come. Why would Jesus Christ the Son of God come, the answer to redeem us, why because of our sins as a result of Adam's transgression. By one man sin entered into the world. Romans 5.12
1- The Announcement of Christ:
It is interesting to note that as soon as man sinned God made an announcement, (1) "The seed of the woman shall bruise the head of the serpent. Gen. 3:15, there will be victory over sin and the Author of it.(2) The Promise to Abraham, In thy seed shall all families of the earth be blessed. Gen. 12:3 ( 3) Unto us a child is born Isaiah 9.6, fulfilled at Matt.2.1 When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea. A son is given: John 3.16 For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son.
2- The Arrival of Christ:
The time of Arrival: the fullness of time Galatians 4.4. The Place of arrival. in Bethlehem of Judea Micah 5.2 The Reason for Arrival. To seek and to save. Luke 19.10.
3- The Anointing of Christ
To bring good news: The ministry of Christ at Nazareth
Luke 4:16 according to prophecy by Isaiah 61.1 Excluding the 2nd advent of Christ, The Day and Vengeance of our God .To open the eyes of the blind, Physically and Spiritually. John 9.
4- The Atonement of Christ
The death of Christ. Matt. 27.45-53 , We also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have now received the atonement Romans 5: 11b , Cf. Lev. 16"Christ has for sin atonement made, what a wonderful Savior.
5 - The Ascension of Christ:
While they beheld, he was taken up and a cloud received him out of their sight Acts. 1: 8-11.
6- The Anticipation of Christ:
This same Jesus that is taken away shall so come in like manner. He will be coming again, John 14.3, 1st Thess 4: 13-16.
Therefore what can we think of Christmas, That we all are born sinners, We can do nothing to save ourselves from the power, penalty and presence of sin .but God commendeth His love towards us in that while were yet sinners, Christ came into the world in due time to save us, He died for our sins, His death has met God's righteous demand for the forgiveness of our sins, and now all that believeth are justified from all things, an are then qualified to obtain the inheritance God has provided for us who believed. For Christ will come again for us. His coming will be similar to His first coming into the world.
1- His coming will be secret- all would not know immediately when it happens.
2- His coming will be selective. He will come in the clouds only for those who have accepted Him as Savior in our lifetime.
3- His coming will be sudden-No advance notice, like a thief in the night there will be separation of loved ones, this means you may or may not see your family and friends again and forever.
Therefore it is most important that we receive Him now before time changes into eternity. Behold now is the accepted time. 2nd Cor 6.2.. If you have not as yet take Christ as your Savior, we encourage you to do so now. If you do so let us know by e-mail and we will be praying for you.. If you have already done so we encourage you to tell others of Him.
